Central Park, hot dogs and....jet lag

Lovely sunny morning...woke up early (7am) and went for breakfast at a local cafe. Ventured onto the subway (easy to navigate, and with the added bonus of air-conditioning!) for the first time up to Central Park. We got off at the southwest corner of the park. It was gorgeous. We wandered around for a couple of hours, but still only covered about a third of it! Visited Strawberry Fields, the John Lennon Memorial and the Dakota Building (where Yoko Ono still lives apparently). We then walked around the Upper West Side neighbourhood and grabbed a bite for lunch from a famous hotdog place called 'Grays Papaya' on Broadway - delicious...Jim went back for seconds (he is well on his way to putting on the two stone you predicted Mum!). With jetlag kicking in, we took the subway back to Chelsea and had a quiet evening in watching Wheel of Fortune and eating mexican burritos.
