Well we finally made it, we are on our way, Simon's Mum is safely home from hospital and recovering well from her operation.

First stop Amsterdam, great place. Wee had a fantastic time wandering the streets and finally feeling free. Stayed at a well dodgy and packed backpackers, and were unfuortunate to hit the town on the weekend, so it was heaving. there were so many men on bucks weekends, and just men generally! Thursday was great, but come Friday/Saturday the place took off, we didn't get any sleep from those many men, very wasted, being idiots all through the hostel. So we were pretty keen to move then! In a drunken state I walked into a bunkbed and cut open my bottom lip, bashed my nose and got a fat top lip. I had to go to the police station in this terrible state the next day - it was so embarrassing!

Then the next day in my sleep deprived state, got our daypack knicked from between our feet at an internet cafe while looking for flights - no idea how they got it but the policewoman (hottest cop I've ever seen) saidf they are very organised and you wouldn't even know you were being distracted. There was nothing valuable in it really, only things that were really annoying for us - all our picture CDs so far (Ireland etc - big cry), lonely planet, although we've been fine without a guide book anyway, camera case with extra mem stick and battery, travel games, Spanish lessons, gifts we'd given to each other for Valentines Day etc . So sucked in to them, but sucky for us. We were thinking of booby trapping bags with stink bombs, but who would be so vindictive? We'll just leave it up to Karma =D

Overall the place was  abuzz, we didn't go to the coffeeshops, I feel so boring writing that actually, but we've both been their done that really. BORING! Yes, we are! The hookers in the window were cool, it's wierd to think that it probably goes on at the same level in sleepy little Perth, but behind closed doors, we are such a funny culture when it comes to sex hey? Wew nearly got killed a million times by bicycles, and only now are finally getting used to cars coming from the "wrong!" side, and bicycles where you think people should be. Great level of bicycle use, I am again inspired to bike it when we get home, big time - hold me to that will you, someone.

Also sampled the local cuisine - chocolate coasted waffles!

Must go, in lovely Prague now.

Too much to see and the skies are so blue.

Will update again soon, only hve the time now as we're trying to deal with the bloody insurance company...

I have a photo in the same clog! Amsterdam looks the same in winter as summer.
