"A pleasant companion reduces the length of the journey." - Publilius Syrus
18 May Orkney was great last weekend. Skara Brae certainly was a sight, a look back to 3100BC is pretty hard concept to grasp, even as it sits before you. Paired with cliffs, Norse settlements and endless countryside, you can't go wrong. We lucked out with the weather too. Since I've come back there hasn't been nearly as much studying as there should have been. Eh. It's hard when the weather is so nice and the landscape continues to call. Compromise. Today, I sat and read philosophy on the riverbed. The swan greeted me, I gave it my food. Distractions. I have a week still, which will go faster than I think so I'm enjoying all that there is to enjoy with the slow pace of the river drifting past.
