Hey hey one and all...
So, it's off to New Zealand for me in only three days. Can't believe my month and a half at home is already over and done with. I've barely got my feet on the ground here, and I'm off again. Woot woot!
It's been a great visit. Had 2 lunches at the Elbow Room Cafe down on Davie. (Absolutely amazing, must see/eat in Vancouver), did the whole shopping downtown thing, went skating with Jess down in the West End, browsed Granville with Marissa, and spent far too much money. Mmmm, the other best part of being at home was CHOCOLATE BUFFET!!! The Japan exchange group, me, Leah, Chisato, Bernice, Holly, Julia, and Parisa, all headed down to the Sutton Place for some deeeeeeelicious unlimited chocolate. It was heavenly. But there just wasn't enough chocolate. ;)
Oh, and the other highlight was: went to the Canucks vs Blackhawks game on the 9th. It was so fun even tho they lost 3-0. Honestly tho, a shutout?!?! Luongo played amazingly, and really the Blackhawks got 2 empty netters at the end of the game, so it wasn't actually that bad.
Anyhow, also got up to PG for a week to see everyone. Hit up the mall for some hicktown shopping, skated out at the Southridge outdoor rink, attempted to have a weenie roast up at Shane Lake (however that didn't work out so well as far as getting a fire started goes, so Sarina ended up eating a ketchup and mustard bun, while I just stuck to mini-eggs for lunch), and we had fun bowling, going to see Happy Feet, and dining out. Megan, Lesley, Laurie, and I went to Shooters for drinks on Friday night, then to the Caddy for dancing. The new Shooters is awesome (where Fyre used to be) and has an awesome great huge tv on which to enjoy the hockey game. The Caddy was so utterly fun. People of all ages go there, and there are some amazing 2-stepping couples out there. There was even a lady there who had to be at least 70 years old, out on the dance floor cuttin a rug...I'm totally going to be like that when I'm old!
Saturday night we went to the Genny, which was also great fun. They've installed a pole up on the stage, so I was teaching everyone how to pole dance. Super fun, although great bruises resulted the next day...
Anyways, off on my next adventure I go...take care everyone, and see you around the world!
