oh dear,
oh dear..
Just landed 5hrs ago, the airport was an unreal experience, puts Heathrow to shame.. The buses were a laughable, air- con, reclining seats.. the ticket lady even came around and asked where we were all getting off, so that none of us got lost..
Currently taking refuge from the Khon San madness, managed to trade in 6 lonely planets for a laughable amount that I'm embarrassed to even mention. Did the shop owner know that I've been lovingly lugging those cherished items around for the last 4 months! The cheek of it.. still I'm now all set guide wise for south east aisa!
Strongly doubt that I'll be sticking around here long, although it's the party backpackers capital of the world, I sure my relativity low grade attempt at hardcore backpacking of the beaten track will not rub to well with these one stop shop hopefuls.. (rather I'm not sure I'll be able to face it)
To summarise what I've seen so far, It's like worst bits of Soho, London with a mixture of the madness of Glasto at 2am all thrown in.
Anyhow folks, it is true I am alive and kicking still, 2 months in Sri Lanka was great experience, and I hope to type it up before long!
Not to mention that this might be my only medium of communication, it looks like my camera might have to be put down.. it's gone a little senile in it's old ages! Currently looking for a service centre, but it's not looking good!
