Goa is lush.. harmol or arambol is heaven on earth (if you're a hippy throw back who can't handle the reality of the real world and would much rather prefer to spend your days doing something productive on the beach like learning to juggle) white beaches, huts just tucked into the jungle enclosures, waves lapping the shore and the warmth of the Arabian sea.

So, how'd I get here, hooked up with a couple of Irish lads (Stephen and Conor) on the plane from Delhi, they have just spent 5 months in Nepal working and co-running an orphanage (all for charity mate), but now in need for some well earned beach time, along with them and 2 French lassies we met in the taxi queue at Goa aiport, we headed for the main town in Goa, Panaji.. Spent a night there in one of the most uncomfortable hotels in the world, still a bed is a bed.. and then taxi'd it up to the north for some quiet beach time..

Strange place, nothing really happens, there are kite-surfers, and lots of dreaded hair, people chilling and getting on with the troubles tasks of doing nothing.. the bongo's come out at night as well as the beach fires, the food was good, the locals nice and relaxed..

But for me it was perfected, after 4 months on the road now, this was the first real beach that I have visited.. a couple of days here was the recharged that I was looking for.. 

India is a great place, but I think you need to be full charged and on top of your game before you get here, the north, full of it's touts, rickshaws and pure madness was getting to be a bit, it eats away at you slowly..

Anyhow, back to the beach..
