But having spent 3 short days in Berlin, it was time to move further east on my journey, so back to the moon base like Hauptbahnhof station and a departure on the Moskva Express to Little Piter.

The train pulls in, the dwarf like guards step out, the wagon numbers are confirmed and a 1 second step, getting-on requires a 35hr wait to get off.

. also another tip, don't try to maneuver down train carriages with a army sized/shaped Bergen on your back, I got stuck, wedged infact between an open door and a fire alarm, which for this occasion wasn't on.. NICE!So there I was, on the train, now the adventures begin.. my berth/room mate is a long haired, stripy sailor vest wearing Russiam by the name of Vladimir.. introduction are made, and the name Jack is brandish upon me. You have to roll with the punches I guess, and never had anything against that name, so just let him continue bellowing it at every opportunity. At this point I think we were being a touch on the loudside, but to an advantage, as fellow Englander introduces herself, "ahhhh.. someone to help me decyper!"
Turns out Vlad is a Master engraver, one of only 10 in the world.. and, so with Michelle in tow, the chaos continues into the night.. I'd also like to also point out that it was my birthday that day.. this information is extracted some how and sends Vlad into a panic! Gifts are wrapped, booze is purchased from our moustache wearing (& usually drunk) dwarf like "wagon-man". And the party commences..
A litre of tetra-pak'd german wine later and hours anglo-russia political pictionary and I'm out for the count.. Happy Birthday to me..
