We broke camp early, 6 AM, due to Pippi whining and carrying on.  We went to the store and payed $5 to get a shower.  I walked the dog and drank my coffee by the lake towered by mountains while Andy showered.  People were already loaded their kayaks into the water to begin their day of play.  We then made the short drive north to Yellowstone National Park. After entering the park, we stopped at the nearest ranger station to request guidance as to what to see within the park in just one day.  Again, Pippi isn't allowed on any trails so, sadly, since boardwalks prevail as the way to access the views of Yellowstone, Pippi and I stay back while Andy goes exploring.  I was happy to do doggy duty as I have been to Yellowstone before but was sad to miss sharing this experience with Andy.  So, after all the sights had been seen (Old Faithful, geysers, paint pots, hot springs, and geothermals to the max) and all the deer, antelope, bison, and elk had been spotted, we hit the road for Bozeman.  I drove as Andy checked TripAdvisor for Bozeman hotels and found no rooms available.  So we decided to stop at the town nearest Bozeman, Livingston.  What a find! We stayed at a charming, locally owned hotel, the Livingston Inn.  All decked out in western wear including horse shoe towel and toilet paper racks and cowboy roping serving as "crown molding".  I settled in to read while Andy continued TripAdvisor research and located our restaurant for take out dinner, Montana's Rib and Chop House.  Seems kind of crazy to get such good food as take out but I guess that's what travelling with a temperamental dog makes you do.  I had a very nicely prepared cedar plank salmon which was actually served on the plank (a first for me, see picture below) and Andy enjoyed a huge serving of Jambalaya (no, he didn't eat it all.  Leftovers to be had tomorrow).  Not much on TV, ended up watching an Animal Planet program on the cutest puppies. Andy was the champ today, seeing Yellowstone, one of the most amazing places on earth, and then scoring a super fantastic hotel, delicious dinner, and indulging me in watching puppy play on TV, even laughing along with me as if he wouldn't rather be watching something else.
