Broome is remarkable for only one thing and that is Cable Beach, which is first class. Also being on the west coast the sun sets into the sea, and the three days we spent here were highlighted by three tremendous sunsets. Another outstanding thing is the humidity, which for some reason was higher here than anywhere else we had been.
I turned 31 on the day we arrived  so we pushed the boat out and ate a chinese feast in the laughingly named Chinatown which consists of three chinese restaurants and a drive in bottle shop. We ended the night drinking cheap champagne out of a brown paper bag on the beach.
I burnt my eyelids for the second time the following day, getting excited about possible tanning on the lovely beach, and Kerry and I had a night on our own for our anniversary, taking a bottle of wine and two glasses onto the sand for sunset. We commented how those two plastic containers compared to the brown bag the previous night instantly converted us from tramps to two sophisticated lovers.
