We wonīt go into all the details here....basically..we walked to a lake! We got chased by potentially rabid dogs and gangs of probably not rabid small children.

Quilatoa= very pretty blue lake inside a volcano crater..we walked 13.8 km from Zumbahua, which is probably the smallest (and wierdest) place in the world. We also didnīt realise it was possible to be so cold and yet get the worst sunburn we have had so far!!! We clearly forgot about the ecuatorial bulge.

To get back to some kind of civilisation we got a camioneta (like a pick up truck) for TWO HOURS...we were crammed in with all the locals and their sacks of potatoes for the market. Just when we thought they couldnīt fit any more in..more started coming and hanging off the back! We really wanted a photo but decided it was probably inappropriate and also we were severely outnumbered!
