Following the visit to the Perito Moreno, I knew it was going to be hard to find anything as special so I thought to take it easy and walk around town. I visited a nature reserve called the Laguna Nimez. It was known for having lots of birds. I got to see patagonian geese, lots of ducks, a few hawks and little birds. The visit was $7 USD and I spent about 2 hours there. I could have spent longer but I was too hungry. What was a bit annoying was that some of the paths were closed due to the lake's seasonal flooding forcing me to backtrack (instead of looping around back to the start). Nevertheless, it was a relatively nice day and the clouds reflected off the lake beautifully. At the end of the visit, I rewarded myself with some empanadas.
