Paihia, Bay of Islands(slobber tent)

Hey everyone! So after we wrote last we took a long drive out to the Whangarei Heads, which we thought were a cove of bays. But, we drove until the Ocean beach which was the end of the road and never found these "heads". Apparently the heads are the series of little towns or something we still don't know. So we headed back into Whangarei and found a sweet little campsite with really clean showers and a barbeque area and decided to crash there for the night. This place is actually a chain of campsites so we got a map that tells us where other ones just like it are around the country. So we hung out and had a relaxing night playing cards and reading and such (we needed a night like that). We woke up this morning in our veeerrrry small tent to find ourselves surrounded by our own slobber. Let me explain . . . Jess wasn't drolling all night or anything, our tent was a chamber for moisture and our breath and heat created a layer of condensation on the inside of the tent. TJ can't even sit up in this tent without hitting his head and creating a rain of spit. Anyway we headed out to the Bay of Islands planning to go to Russell where there is another of this campsite we stayed at, but we ended up on some sort of one way gravel road, we got scared of a head on collision since the roads are so curvy and we can't see much past 30 ft ahead. So we decided to back track and go to Pahia instead because its on the main highway. It is beautiful here and we're glad we came this way instead, its a little town like Sylvan with a main strip on the beach. But the beach leads to the ocean and a giant bay with a bunch of islands (hence the name) instead of a little lake. Plus its 30 degrees at least in January. Anyway we're off to find another place to camp, near Paihia and we are in an expensive internet cafe, so we better jet. Talk to you soon!
