Rain, sun, rain, sun, cookie.....

Last night was a bit of a later night. Following dinner, Kate, Carmella and I went to the hot tub and sat in it for a couple of hours chatting and enjoying the rocky seas. It was cool, because with each wave, the water in the hot tub moved with the ship...fun!
I only slept a little bit - the bane of my existence - whenever I go to bed late, I normally wake up early. So around 8, I rolled out of bed and slowly got ready. Carm, Kate and I went to breakfast, then Kate went back to bed - she wasn't feeling well and the rest of us went in to Belize. Overall, Belize was a bit of a disappointment - we only stayed for a bit, but the boat ride over was nice. The water here is soooo clear! It's really beautiful.
Then there was more suntanning, and some yoga for me. Tonight we're off to watch some skating and then have dinner. It's Italian night so hopefully something tasty. :)
The weather has been pretty hit or miss - sun, rain, sun , rain...good thing it's 24 hour desert to take our mind off the weather! And the rocking of the boat...Kate is pretty sea-sick, and also appears to have a cold. :(
There are a few interesting things about this boat...some things very different than I expected. Certainly, there are more things that you have to pay for on the boat than I thought - things like pop, bottled water etc. However, the food is a lot better than I thought it would be, and the service is outstanding. The people aren't bothering me as much as I thought they would on the first day - especially since today at port, most people left the boat, so the few of us who were left had it to ourselves.
Tonight we went to an "ice-capades" type show here on the boat. We were really impressed by this one woman from Montreal...it was like Cirque de Soleil on ice....very very cool. She had this hoop-thing that she hung from and did all these acrobatics, incorporating the ice! I think doing all that stuff wearing skates is really impressive....well, it's impressive on it's own!
Tomorrow it's on to Costa Maya - hopefully a nice beach day!
