Leanne and I had the most random day today. We started out sleeping in until about 9, then got up and got packed, ate breakfast and checked out of the hostel. Then an hour or so wasted on the internet (oh how I love my internet time!!) then we decided to go for lunch to this vegetarian restaurant, as neither of us had had a vegetable in days.
Wow....now Mexico has a weird idea of what vegetarian food is. Possibly the most revolting thing I've eaten in a while....some green peppers in cream sauce with onions, followed by a hamburger. Yes, a hamburger at a vegetarian restaurant. Oh, and it tasted like sausage. Yuck! Carrot soup that made me want to hurl, and the most awful desert known to humanity. Anyway....
After lunch we checked out some English-language book stores and I bought a new lonely planet central america, as I don't want mom to ship my old one here. Then we decided to check out Zona Rosa. Basically it's just a huge business district, but rather nice.
We booked it back to the hostel and had a coke in the lobby. There, it seemed to be party central as some brit guy (who the night before had called me a cheeky wench for refusing to ride the elevator with him) and two Mexican guys vied for our attention. Neither of us were having any of it, so we headed off the to bus station to catch our overnight bus.
Total costs: Lunch and pastries 8$, bus to Puerto Escondido 50$.
