I decided a while ago to pick up a third language - Spanish. This is, in part, why I'm travelling to Latin America. The other part of the reason is to visit some of the places that I've read about in my studies. The thing is, Spanish is a lot harder than French ever was. Probably because I'm not in immersion, and when I was a kid, I didn't have to work at learning French. Needless to say, it's not going that well with the Spanish. I can get by, certainly, but I want to be able to converse with people. I only have a few weeks left of class, so I'm not really sure it'll get much better. And then a couple of months before I leave. I guess I'll just have to get good at studying on my own.

I'm also thinking about doing another teacher training course for yoga in Montreal - one week intensive on second series. I'm not that far along second series, but I would love to learn more about the poses before I head out so I can approach new ones safely! That would be at the end of August....and would certainly help the time go a little quicker leading up to my trip!

It's funny how I'm just sort of hanging out here waiting for my trip. I'd head out sooner, but I have some pressing financial commitments here that have to be sorted before I hit the road, and one of my best friend's weddings on the second of September. All good reasons to stay, but I'm really getting antsy.
