Luxemburg Gardens and Notre Dame

This morning we went on a walking tour with our World Lit professor and saw many of the sights that were mentioned in the book we are reading, The Sun Also Rises. It was a really nice day out. The weather here is chillier than Rome, long sleeve shirts are your best bet. I've packed up the tank tops and brought out the warmer clothes. The rest of the day we just walked around the city. There is so much shopping here, but I have actually been really good about that.
We walked also walked through the Luxemburg Gardens. It was so beautiful there. I love seeing some plant life after so much sightseeing of all the cities. I took a ton of pictures here, so I hope you enjoy them!
We then walked towards the River and saw Notre Dame. It was really a neat building. The stained glass windows were really pretty and the inside was very plain. I think after seeing the Vatican and other churches in Rome, it is hard to make a comparison to them. Sarah and I (after standing in three wrong lines -- you really do learn by trial and error here!) booked our train to Bremen for Tuesday. The train station was huge, so it's a good thing we planned in advance. Tonight we went back to the "Greek Street" where we had shopped earlier. We stopped and had a drink at the salsa bar. It was kind of funny listening to Latino music while in Paris. We headed back around midnight, the Metro here stops at 12:30, so it looks like there won't be many late nights in Paris. I'm sure Mike is so upset to hear that :)
