Heres a recap of Dallas (were currently in Houston):
Upon arriving to Dallas, we stopped to view a puppy. We had decided on a Maltese and this is the first one we looked at (Adam wanted a little dog, and I wanted one that wouldn't chase after birds...that meant no terriers.) He was a little shy, but I think Adam liked him because he was the discount puppy and didn't bark :) Needless to stay, we got him and checked into our hotel. We then proceeded to go to pet co and get some things. His name is Wrigley and his birthday is 4/14/10. Hes a pure breed little maltese. The shyness and no barking has diminished in the last 7 weeks that we have had him. He is now a little over 5 months.
One of the things Wrigley and I liked doing in Dallas was visiting the dog park
While here we also visited many different areas in Dallas. One that we visited frequently in the beginning and loved was the uptown area. It was a very nice area, with many outdoor restaurants where dogs were allowed. Our favorite was called State and Allen Lounge.
A few other restaurants we visited were The Porch, The Fish, and Simply Fondue. Simply Fondue was a fondue restaurant similar to The Melting Pot. We enjoyed dinner here with Jarod and his girlfriend Carrie. Jarod was Adams new hire in Dallas.
Another area with a lot of character was Downtown. Downtown had many more artsy characteristics. One of the main buildings downtown had many different waterfalls and water features you could relax and walk throughout. Right down the road from this area was many different statues, Starbucks, and parks.
While here, they also had a neat little wine shop we liked to go to
One final restaurant that really sticks out was house of blues. We came here debating about seeing a concert, however we decided against it since it tickets were about $50 dollars a piece and neither one of us really liked the band. Instead we had dessert. We had chocolate chip banana bread pudding. One of the best desserts we've ever had! Yum!!
There was a lot of other things going on, Adam spent a lot of time doing work, and I spent time doing promotions. One of our favorite past times was playing Monopoly deal with Wrigley down by the pool. (thanks grandma!!) Overall I really enjoyed Dallas!!
