Greetings from the Blue Mountains!

This morning, we packed up our stuff again and took a bus tour up into the Blue Mountains.  In summary: rode in what appeared to be a revamped dump truck; saw some wild kangaroos at a park in the mountains; momentarily rolled backwards down a hill, nearly to our bloody death, due to the revamped dump truck's bad breaks; checked out the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters from a few different angles; walked through old coal mines and rainforest; ate some ratatouille; and, finally, made our way to our quaint little hotel, at which point Monique Manners (I swear I'm not making this up) showed us up to our lovely English quarters and invited us to high tea.  Poor Monique Manners.  I couldn't resist imitating her proper French-Australian accent in really inappropriate situations for a good thirty minutes after she left.

As karma tends to work, I nearly died (again) shortly afterwards.  No one should run through mountains for his/her first time during mid-day Australian sun.  Or maybe they should, depending on their views on after-life.  Anyway, after seventeen minutes, I couldn't hold my vision straight, so I went inside to their gym to use the erg.  Three minutes after that I was coughing up mouthfuls of water [round 1] and ratatouille [round 2].  Well, there you go, Monique Manners.

Bus driver:  Oh, sho friend.  Thu next ones ah much nice-ah.  Nao wahrries, mayte!

Buzz:  Gooohd.  Because I vont to feed a kangahrooh. (storms back onto the bus.)

Sooo most of my pictures aren't uploading (to this or Snapfish), and we're paying way too much to use the internet.  I'll add more to this entry when we find a faster and cheaper connection.
