Once again after a total change of plans we risked our sanity with the Thailand long distance transport services. Three hours by bus to Bangkok (50Km!!!) followed by a 15 hours train journey to Trang in the deepest South. Trang is a beautiful, clean(!) and peaceful city, but after one day has little to offer... apart from being a more relaxing place that Hat Yai in which to base yourself in order to cross the border into Malaysia to renew your visa. February the 8th was; an 8am start, a bus to Hat Yai another to Penang Besar, 300m walk to the border control, two rounds of form filling, and then the whole thing in reverse... we got back at 7pm! We are now in Krabi waiting for our boat to Ko Jum, which leave in half an hour! Now we start the beach part of the holiday! There is no internet on the Island so we'll say goodbye for now!
P.S. Igor and An, we have the drawing! We'll say hello to everyone in a couple of hours!
P.P.S. Everyone cross your fingers for Richard. This morning at 10am we sent the documents he needs for his house swapping adventures! They should be there in 3-4 days... Unlike some postal services I have experienced Thai post seems to be very efficient, even with the language barriers!

Miss you!
I am missing you guys. But good to hear how you are doing and that you are actually getting around and seeing some real stuff, not just lounging on the beach. (Go and do that next!)
www.inkandsinks.blogspot.com if you are missing England and want to catch up on me.
Lots and lots of love. Helena.x
