Ashamed of my California license plates, Jeff and I will arrive in the place formally known as the best place in the whole wide world (my previous dubbing of Lander although Wyoming maintains this lofty title) this afternoon. I'm only ceding Lander's placement in the event that I'm not able to return there...but Wyoming is an uncontested display of God's creative power, the guardian of a laid-back way of life hard to find in this fast past country, full of true-hearted, tough-skinned cowboys and tree-hugging granola eaters alike (both groups of which I'd like to claim for myself...) and a place that never gets out of your blood. Another 8 hours in the leg of the great drive before Africa.
