Mon voyage libre

Bienvenue à Nantes.
I'm not going to write too much but I just felt like I need to write a quick note about my weekend.
On Saturday, I took a train at 830 (bright and early) to Nantes to visit a friend from PLU. This is the first time we have seen each other all semester. It is a little sad because we are only about an hour and a half away from each other. It was fun to see her. We went to her favorite crêperie and for only 10 euros, we had a galette, a dessert crêpe, cider and a café. It was quite tasty but man, my dessert crêpe was more butter than anything else. I walked around the chateau of the Duchesse Anne, of Bretagne and really enjoyed the view. I think I've found a façade of a cathedrale for my history of architecture paper and I experience a french carnival. Yes, a carnival. Cotton candy, junk food, games and rides. It was amazing. It was almost the same as home but, as always, in French.
I had a lovely train ride home until I misunderstood the conductor ask me a question about Rennes, but I laughed it off.
After I got home, I ate raclette with my family and had a good time talking about what we are going to eat when my parents get here and the difference between french and american dinners. I'm really sad that its taken this long to have these types of conversations but I'm really glad that they are happening.
Well, this is a quick one. I'm pretty tired and have a small test in my history of France class. I hope all is well! À bientôt!
