Monday, and I'm back in Florence. I think I have a friend in Daniel from Demi's, because he said that he wants to hang out. The guy is pretty cool. He is one of those rolling stone types, went to college but stopped and is now enrolled in acting school in the afternoons when he gets off work. Apparently he is planning on moving to Morocco with a few friends in two months. He says that he wants to hang out sometime, actually asked Evan and me if we wanted to check out the piscine (pool) when it opens this Saturday. Unfortunately, I'm going to be down in the Amalfi Coast/Pompeii/Capri this weekend, but I think it would be good for me to have some friends outside of CAPA. I was told that I would probably have to be the initiator of any kind of friendship with Italian people, but I think Daniel might be an exception. At first I thought that he might play for the other team, but Evan told me that he thinks I'm way off.
After class we picked up some pasta and some wine, then headed over to the girls' apartment because it was their turn to cook us dinner. We were afraid. Very afraid. I brought my guitar over because Tai and I agreed that it would be a good time, but I felt like that guy anyways. Dinner turned out to be pretty good; chicken and pasta in pesto sauce. We felt the urge and went all the way North to the stadium to get some damn good gelato (orange and crème for me, this time). After that, we spent about an hour at the girls' place. Everyone else in the apartment had a quiz the next day, so they were studying the history of the Mafia and the Medici, etc. I provided the background music, also known as distractions because they kept singing along and Tai and I were testing out songs for our Tuesday night performances. After that, we headed home to sleep.
