After our last night of sleep in the cave we were up to another day of travels. This time our plane leaves at a reasonable time, noon. So we have time to have our breakfast in the restaurant / lobby of our ho(s)tel. After breakfast we said our goodbyes, exchanged some email addresses and were on our way to the airport. It was a small airport with only two gates so luckily our wait was short. The flight to Istanbul was smooth. In Istanbul we had to wait for six hours for our flight to Holland. We found an HSBC lounge which we could use with our HSBC cards, so we stayed here had some food and some drinks while checking the Internet. As time passed quickly we soon boarded our flight to Amsterdam. Another smooth ride in a comfortable seat with good service. I am so glad we decided to fly Turkish airlines instead of KLM, this is so much better.

In Amsterdam we picked up our car, we booked through a website that found us a good deal, but unfortunately the rental place was in Hoofdorp a few miles outside of the airport, and not at the airport itself. So we had to wait a bit for the rental company to pick us up. Of course it was raining in Holland as usual. As we got our car we headed out to Andijk where my father lives. We stay here for two nights to change luggage and get sorted out for our big train trip.

In Holland we did the usual, visit family, and do some shopping for winter clothes. We found a new camera to replace our died SLR, a nice Canon D550 (Rebel 2Ti). So we can take decent pictures again.
