After breakfast we packed the car and headed out to Andijk to visit my Father and his wife Cherie. Andijk is a small town only 40 minutes from Hoorn. In Andijk we chatted a bit and had a lovely BBQ for dinner. We had some yummy shrimps and a sea bass. Q had his hamburgers of course.
After dinner we headed out to Waalwijk, close to the Efteling. Its about two and a half hours driving from Andijk. At Edwins place I used his Internet connection to download the Europe Map for the Garmin. We copied this one into our unit, and we were set to go. Not that I need any navigation unit in Holland, but it is a nice toy to play around with.
We arrived in the NH Hotel in Waalwijk in the evening. Quentin really liked the Hotel the last time that we were there. I offered him a Hotel in the theme park, but still he wanted to go back to the NH. The Hotel is more a business oriented place, with modern interior and rooms. Sometimes I don't quite understand how his little mind works. Anyhow, this time I got a suite, as we will be staying there with the three of us and I do want to be able to move around the beds a bit.
We all watched a movie on the TV, (The Incredibles) and got some sleep. Tomorrow is a day at the Efteling, it will be very tiring.
Quentin woke me up early (as usual) and we decided to let Linda sleep a bit. We went out together to walk to the shopping mall to get some breakfast. It was a beautiful morning, the sun was shining and the skies were blue. Quentin took his wave-board (some kind of skateboard with two wheels). At the bakery we picked up some freshly baked croissants and a sausage bread for Q. At the supermarket we picked up some juices. We brought our catch home to have a little breakfast together.
