If life could only be that simple. We visited every major design store on 5th Avenue, Gucci, Prada, Hugo Boss you name it. But none of them had anything to my liking in my size. I started to remember that I really don't like shopping when there is nothing to get, very depressing. Luckily Linda had a good feeling about Ferragamo, and she was right. Finally I found my shoes, and in the right size. Thank you Linda, and thank you Salvatore!
Tired from shopping we caught a late lunch at a Japanese restaurant. I love Japanese food, I can eat it every day. After lunch we picked up the tickets for our Broadway show for the evening, 'Come fly away'.
Later that evening we cabbed to Times Square. I am so glad we didn't stay at a Hotel in that area. It's so packed with tourists and the usual street sellers. I really can't imagine anyone buying anything from those people, but apparently they have a business in offending people, because they are still around.
We had front row seats at the show, which was not quite what we expected. As we just had seen Jersey Boys in Las Vegas, we expected a similar performance, with a story line and songs from Frank Sinatra. Come fly away is no such thing. They show is more a ballet show than a Musical. The music is played live, but the vocals are Sinatra's recorded ones. The 'actors' don't speak. They are actually dancers performing dance act to the Sinatra songs. Some of these dancers were so sweaty that their sweat splattered around when they did they pirouettes, yek! Luckily we were not hit by a sweat bomb, but if you plan to see this 'Musical', don't sit in the front row. Anyway, the music was good and the dances somewhat entertaining, we had laughs while dodging the sweat splatters, all in all a good evening.
The day started with a breakfast and delicious coffee from our local coffee shop. We had a noon appointment at Tejani, a store specialized in wedding Jewelery. We headed out to Tejani and found exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful necklace and two pairs of matching ear rings (long and short). We have just about everything we need, all that is left is a couple of loafer style shoes for me.
