We woke up early to watch the Holland-Brazil game which started at 08:30 here in Mexico. What a game!

After that, we went out to 5th avenue to catch the next game at a sports bar with a nice margarita and some snacks. We ended up in the Tequilla Barrel where we enjoyed some bar food and the game. After the games we explored Playa del Carmen and the Beach. It is a typical touristic beach town. Everywhere you go on the street there are sales people greeting you with, Hey Amigo are you hungry? Hey Amigo you want Cigars? Hey Amigo you need a massage? (and for Linda, “Come on little girl, you know you want it!”'). After a while it gets quite annoying and you do not dare to look at a store as for sure someone will jump up and greet you with 'Hey Amigo Want to buy?'.

Nevertheless Linda managed to buy herself a new handbag and a stylish hat. In the afternoon we found a bar with swings where we stranded and recuperated our lost liquids with some Corona. Back in the Hotel we cooked some dinner and enjoyed the silence.

We headed to bed early as tomorrow we would have to wake up at 05:30! We are going on a day trip to see some Mayan ruins, and apparently we have to be that early to beat the tour buses.
