We had a quiet morning and enjoyed the comfort of our hotel, around noon we headed out to the town as the clouds cleared. We decided to take a duck tour around the city. We did something similar in Boston a while ago and really liked it there. It's a good way to see a city in a fun and playful way. The Duck was fun and brought us to all places of interest. During the tour we discovered that the rainy city was the birthplace of both Starbucks and Boeing and of course Microsoft is a stone-throw away in Redmond. After the tour we took the monorail to Seattle Westcenter mall where we enjoyed our lunch in the foodcourt. Singapore noodles for me and a beef noodles for Linda. We were rushed out of the building as an alarm went off and they evacuated the entire mall. We don't know what was going on, but we finished our lunch and headed out. On the Duck tour I saw the office of a guided tour for the Seattle Underground. We walked to this office and were just in time for the 4 o' clock show. A funny guide took us down into the Seattle underground explaining the vivid History of the City. After the tour we walked back to the hotel to collect our luggage and took a taxi to the airport as we had to catch the 20:00 flight to San Francisco. A short 1.5 hour flight brought us form the rainy city (but luckily the weather has been perfect while we were there) to the aircon city where we checked in to our Hotel for the coming days, the Fairmont on Mason street. Tomorrow we are meeting up with Sandy and we are planning to bike over the golden gate bridge.
