The second day of the unlimited pass I headed out to Osaka Conservatory to check out some intereting flowers.  While the conservatory itself was about 1/3 the size of the one we have at home, the flowers were awfully pretty.  In fact, my favorite room was the 'Alpine Room' which had flowers that only grow at altitude.  Part of the reason I liked the room so much was because it was very chilled down, and also because majority of the flowers come from the Himalayas!  Win!

After that I headed to Osaka Aquarium, one of the largest in the world.  This was not included in the unlimited pass, but did have 100 yen off admission.  I was planning on going anyway to see the whale sharks, and it was quite amazing.  The building itself is 8 floors tall and wraps down along a central tank, with many other large tanks on the exterior.  In the central tank are massive manta rays, tons of fish, and TWO whale sharks.  I got there just in time for the 3pm feeding time and was amazed at watching these huge (although babies for their species) creatures have lunch.  Quite awesome.

Also at the aquarium were massive types of dolphins, asian fish, spider crab, and the usual creatures you see back at home.

After that I made a quick run over to the world trade center building primarily because it was included in the pass.  Up 55 floors for one of the nicest views of Osaka you can get.  Normally 800 yen, absolutely free.  Many wedding advertising packages for a ridiculous price to have a view overlooking the city.  I can see why.

I spent the rest of the evening wandering around Osaka trying to find other places that were included in the pass but failed miserably.  I still saved probably close to $40 just from going to a massive amount of places for spending what amounted to a dollar or two more than what I would have to see the places I originally intended.  But with 5 days in Osaka.. well, I had the time to do it all.
