The morning was a repeat of yesterdays, $3 breakfast special at an hour that should be illegal for college students on spring break. At least we're going diving.
Today we went to Devil's Den, this time in Williston about 5 minutes from our motel, so we did get to sleep in a little bit. This site was quite unique in that the dive site was inside a cave [not to be confused with cave diving where the cave is inside the dive site]. There was a giant opening in the roof of the cave that let in sunlight while still being more than 70% covered. It made for some seriously beautiful pictures.
The dive site itself was pretty empty since it was more a cave. There were only a few large catfish swimming about, but we did have opportunities to get ourselves pretty deep into the dark abyss while swimming around
One of the funny things that we did this time, since we had some free diving time, was playing an underwater game of Euchre. We bought a deck of cards and four people went down and played a few hands, complete with hand signals, until the cards started to disintegrate. This was the beginning of our shenanigans. Afterwards, while waiting for another group to finish diving, a few of us caught a catfish in another one of the sites water systems by luring it into a net that had cheese crisps inside. We supermaned it.
It is really hard to describe the experience of being underwater. Your mind tells you it shouldn't be working, but it is. I got to play around and get a few excellent pictures which I recommend checking out. Again, like yesterday, the night ended with subway and another round.

. Our final scuba skill was an emergency ascent from 25+ ft. The instructor shut our air off under water and we had to ditch our weight belt and float to the surface. No pressure. It was fairly simple, however the hardest part is getting the weight belt back on. I don't think they are made to go on after the gear. One of the funny things that we did this time, since we had some free diving time, was playing an underwater game of Euchre.
