We said our goodbyes to Summer the hostel dog and went on our way to the airport. As always I enjoyed watching flight films - Battlefield on this occasion which I would actually recommend. I also had my last Japanese meal, green noodles with wasabi and leeks - not going to lie but I'm really looking forward to chinese food and the plentiful food options Hong Kong will provide!

We got to our hostel very easily, just a 50 minute bus from the airport and its just across the road. I am for the first time experiencing sleeping on the top of a 3 tier bunk, trying to refrain from looking out the window with an 8 floor drop :/ Small world syndrome also occured with a Portugese/South African guy in our room who is from Bracknell of all places - very bazaar!

After getting our stuff sorted we got the metro to Avenue Stars by the harbour to see the 'Symphony of Lights' which was a little bit underwhelming but quite cool- the buildings across the harbour lit up and had lasers and light beams flash and move to music. The view is great and even without the light show is an impressive colourful display.

Following which we had SPAGETTI BOLOGNESE!!! okay, so not Chinese but the first restaurant we came across that wasn't Maccy D's and after a small and yucky meal on the plane I was starving and could wait no longer!

We then decided Ladies market sounded like fun and definitely plan to go back on Sunday before we leave to buy fake goodies real cheap :D There are also nice knick knack stuff like for phones and jewellery etc.
