Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee

. The game was between 2 teams around San Jose, Saprisa and Alajuela. They are big rivals so it was a good game to go to. We watched the teams warm up and I noticed some guys in a circle passing the ball around. In the middle of the warm up they stopped and just started hitting this one guy. I thought maybe he made a bad joke or farted or something but as I kept watching, I came to realize that if a guy messes up then he has to take a beating from the rest of the guys! Not a severe beating but like a slap on the head or something. It was pretty entertaining. As the teams were being announced the crowd behind the goal started TPing the field! I mean tons of toilet paper! Too bad these guys weren't around when I was in high school. We could've done some TP damage to the whole neighborhood! I was kind of upset that our seats weren't in that area because that night especially, my allergies were really bad so I was scrounging for any pieces of kleenex I could find. I was silently wishing they would throw some toilet paper my way so I could blow my stupid nose! We were cheering for Saprissa (purple and white) who ended up winning 1-0. Wanna know what happened when they scored? Yeah me too. I was in the damn bathroom when they scored!! I tried to hold it as long as possible and then right as I was washing my hands I heard everyone yell and sing the Olé song. I couldn't just peek my head out to another section of the stadium so I sprinted up several flights of stairs to catch the end of the celebration only to reach the top as everyone was sitting down
! I swear, as many cool things as I get to do, I always miss the little things that make them so exciting! So anyways, we left a few minutes early to catch a cab home and since there were 5 of us, I had to lay across everyone and bury my head so we wouldn't get pulled over for having too many people! The irony of that situation was that the cab driver let Bob smoke a joint in the front seat while I was becoming an unintentional contortionist in the back. I guess their slogan is "Buckle up before you roll it up". Anywho the next day I was really sick. I felt like i had the flu. I think it was just from being so exhausted and my body finally gave up. I skipped school school and slept all day long. I felt better friday so I guess I just really needed some rest. I didn't feel like traveling this weekend so I stayed in town. Satuday I went to a butterfly garden, which was really cool. My Grandma would've loved it! :) Enjoy the pics.
I finally got to go to a real fútbol game! I found someone with an extra ticket at the last minute on Wednesday night. I wasn't feeling well but i really wanted to go. While waiting in line to get through the gate, a bunch of people started running down the street. Naturally I became curious and nervous bc usually when that happens something bad has happened or a bull is running behind them. I hadn't heard a gun shot so I started watching for a bull to come bulldozing through, but to my disappointment it was just a bunch of fans running to taunt the police sitting on their horses. The police started walking towards the crowd, pushing them back while the crowd just sang and yelled at the police. (see video) We finally got into the stadium and our tickets were general seating so it was a mad dash to get a good seat. We actually got lucky and got some seats on the first row of the second level. Well we thought we were lucky. Apparently no one was sitting there because an overhang was covering the view of part of the field, but it was a small part so we took them anyways
