Saying that, we wouldn't have given up our time with friends and family for anything. It was a real treat for us catching up with everyone.
We bought a shower at a petrol station on the autobahn. This one had a button that only needed to be pushed every 15 seconds to keep the water running. The last time we stayed in a caravan park the water stopped after every 9 seconds. As I was first in, I had a joke with Lynn that "this is a 15 elephant shower" as we like to call them
The toilet seat was interesting too in that the seat did a 360 degree turn to clean the surface with some chemical and wiper. This maneuver took about 20 seconds. No wonder they charge so much for a pee.
Everywhere along the autobahn were fields of rape seed plants, used to make canola oil, we're told. The yellow flower with green growth and a bright blue sky with grey and white clouds made quite a pretty picture. This scene is not peculiar to Germany, we've seen it in every country so far.
We've noticed some of the L Plate motor cyclists have their L stuck onto their jacket instead of the bike. Certainly makes it more visible.
Also many of the herds of sheep are multi coloured. Well, within the sheep colour spectrum anyway. Like black faced sheep, black all over, brown, black face & legs, pure white, mottled fleece or legs, long haired and short. Even animal breeds were in mixed herds in Ireland and the UK, horses with cows and sheep, as long as it works its OK.
