These are just some extra photos of centro storico (historical distict) of Milan I took today on another walk with some friends. There's a few more of the Duomo, but this time we went up to the ROOF! It was absolutely beautiful; you can't believe the detail in every single part of the exterior. Even in the little tucked-away corners, in every nook and cranny, there's some beautiful statue of every saint immaginable. It was pretty foggy today, so the view isn't the best, but it was still breathtaking!And we got quite a work out climbing the stairs all the way to the top - yes, you take the stairs.
Then there's just a few pictures of the Castello Sforzesco, the old fortress of the city.

Wow what fabulous photos!
Great scenery you have there! You certainly have a lot to digest being in a new and different culture. Lots of new foods, people, media, idioms... What do you notice that strikes you so far?
Our mountain trip was a success. We had a clear view of Grandfather Mountain. We spent our time relaxing, playing games, yelling at each other, and doing a puzzle. The 1000 piece puzzle made it home with just 100 pieces to complete it then Luci silently terrorized it. She thought she did such a great thing:0)
