Leaving on a Jet Plane

Saturday night my friend Sam and I left Philadelphia International at 10 PM. It was really nerve-racking because I haven't really ever flown anywhere by myself, and I was absolutely terrified that my suitcase was going to be too big and I would get sent home. The limit was 33 kg. Mine was about 34.2, so luckily my mom took out a sheet and moved it to my smaller bag, causing the bag to be about 33.8, which was acceptable! Phew! I worried about that for weeks.
The flight was great, British Airways is really nice, and all the flight attendants had British accents, so that's always good. Surprisingly almost all male cabin crew, something I never saw before, but I digress. Of course, I couldn't sleep at all on the plane even though it was a night flight, so I just watched the Simpsons Movie and Casino Royale, and eat my complimentary dinner AND breakfast AND snicky snacks.
We arrived in London Heathrow at about 9:30 AM local time, and then took about 4 buses from the tarmac to the terminal (Heathrow is really confusing!). Then after a 3.5 hour layover, we boarded the plane to Milan Malpensa Airport. Although I was tired and hungry and sick of carrying things around, I was still SO nervous/excited to finally arrive in Italy!
