Well, the time has finally come - I'm leaving tomorrow night!! 10PM Saturday from Philly - can't wait!

I just thought I'd add my first Travel Journal entry today as a trial run before I get to the good stuff.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me prepare for this trip in any way - Love yas all!

Here's to making it over the big blue ocean for the first time!

how awesome that you get to go to Italy of all places. I'm dreaming of a trip to the old country with all four kids and my 100% Italian American husband. In the meantime I can live vicariously through you and other fellow travelers.
Next weekend we stay in a mountain cottage 'Apple of My Eye,' in Blowing Rock, North Carolina with Mountain view, hot tub and stone fireplace.

took me 25 mins to log onto this site. f. hey, get new batteries because i am missing out on my vicarious trip to italy. and take some video too. and if you could wear big boots so i get the feeling like im really there. oh and talk in a lower voice. ok, that should do it
