We headed off, the trail went uphill. We rested. We walked.
We were a bit higher than Manang and agreed that we
both desired to be back on the same level as Manang, in fact,
resting on the rooftop of our lodge, overlooked by the glacier. So, we
canned the walk and turned our lazy tails around until today, when we HAVE to walk.....
Yak Kharka, 4,050 mt.
So. We got to the Gangapurna Guest House about 5pm Hard day - we've come up 500 metres. 400 tomorrow to get up to Thorung Phedi. I've got a headache again; my pack pulls on my neck. Sore back. Sore feet. Tired. wanna go home. Blaaaaaa. There are a few aussies here; a father and son. They've got a little sponge footy - had a kick with Brenden before tea. So far I haven't written about Anna and Mark.....an interesting couple; Anna from Norway and Mark from Ireland. They hired ponies in Manang to take them the rest of the way over the pass. We are slightly envious but agreed that we wanted the achievement of walking.
