Where I stayed
Namaste! Very hard to make a start today - I woke up with bloody sheets, unbelievable when I'm not due for another 10 days. My body is in shock....not happy. All our washing that was outside is still wet; the inside stuff mostly dry. Leech-Boy's leg looks much better today; how WONDERful to have another item on our list of Dangers To Avoid
Tumbling down a landslide to certain death
We were too tired to pack up last night so we had to do it this morning, I think we left about 7.30am
A road, that is. It was a mountain in conflict with itself and we are grateful we were allowed across the fucker with our lives. Some actual rock-climbing was involved, and parts where we had to take off our packs and pull them after us along a tiny narrow ledge. I can't describe it fully, it was really quite fear-provoking. Real concern for the safety of what you are about to attempt, and shocking knowing that your child is following.Well....in some parts he led, and was very encouraging.
All I can say is that my ability to focus, and good balance were in my favour.
How ironic to make it here and talk with people only to be told we took the wrong road! Yes, there was another path, higher. It has a few problems though! HA!! Problems? Problems are our expertise...I was sure I was going to fall down a mountain and have to be airlifted out with broken bits and a 3,000 dollar helicopter bill.
I'll stop carrying on now. We are resting here for an hour and a half to have brunch, write and drink tea then walking on to Tal, on the right road.
Tal. OMG!!! Brenden has a another leech!! Or, HAD another leech....it's not there, it's gorged itself and bailed out - you should see the blood! How did it get through his sock?! He only found it when he took his boots off in the room.
I had a HOT shower!
