Felt like such an idiot this morning after we left our hotel - another 200 metres over a bridge and we'd have been in the village itself, with a choice of lodges! This morning I had a cold wash in a dark, slimey concrete room inhabited by a black frog.....
Where we are sitting now is beautiful - raamro - we're finding it hard to get going again. We're just on the bend of the river, which is flowing rapidly.

Well, on with the show......chookers to us.....

We think it'sabout 12.30; we're having lunch in Nagdi by the river. I'm having veg and egg fried rice.
We wanted to be further along, however left the Paradise around 9.30, not 6am like we'd planned!
Also, views and children slow us down, neither can be ignored.

If you try and walk too fast you miss lots. Zen-trekking rocks!

I love rests.

Where we stopped in the shade briefly before coming down the hill into Nagdi, the little girls - probably about 3, 4 and 7 years old respectively - held onto my fingers walking down the path.
Then, when I took off my pack to rest and sat down the 7 year old, whose name was 'yes', started checking my head for lice!

We plan on being in Syange by tea-time but I don't like our chances, it's about 5 hours walk away. May have to stop at Bahandra. I am tres amused at my writing on last night's entry - I could barely hold the pen. Slept about 10 hours! Brenden gave me the best massage last night while I sat comatose waiting for tuna momos - he's a legend. We have an agreement involving each other's neck, shoulders and feet that I'm now certain will be utilised by both of us!

We're meeting a few other trekkers on the trail now, most have porters and took a jeep from Besisahar to Khudi. They look so fresh! Today we met a couple from Israel and another from Estonia - no names yet. Lots of Nepali people chatting with us as we walk.
