Greetings from Long Island,

We drove into NYC to visit my cousins Steve and Stephen (the Stevens) out on Long Island. They have a beautiful home with lots of artsy things all over the place, but not cluttered. They also just found out that they have a friendly bunny that occasionally visits them on their back porch. We all jumped into their car and raced away from the city and into the... country? Jenn and I were surprised to find out that Long Island also has a country side to it as well as wineries; and since we were with the Stevens we headed out to some of their favorite wineries. The wine was, of course, excellent and we graciously accepted their gift of a bottle of our choice from the Galluccio Estate Vineyards.

Afterwards, we headed back to their house and along the way we passed buffalos! Jenn and I were initially surprised to see farm land on Long Island, but seeing buffalos blew us and the Stevens away. I suppose that when they say you can find anything in NYC they weren't kidding.

Dinner time was approaching and we raced on over to my cousins Alyse and Scott. They have three children (oldest to youngest) Jen, Jordan, and Julia. Also waiting for us were my Aunt Lila and Uncle Murray (Alyse and Steve's parents). All eleven of us went out for Italian food and had a great time catching up. I have not seen some of my cousins since 1986. The following is what we found out about what our newest cousins Jen, Jordan, and Julia want to be when they grow up:

Jen - National Geographic world renowned explorer, because for her Bat Mitzvah her grandmother will her to anywhere she wants to go visit and she loves animals.

Jordan - Executive Chemist for a leading pharmaceutical company, because he enjoyed turning his ordinary glass of ice water into a concoction of anything he could get his hands on.

Julia - Head Architect for the Mars American Relocation and Colonization Organization (M.A.R.C.O.), because at only a few months old she was able to tell Jenn that the square peg will not fit into the round hole.

Coming soon to a town near you.
Love Dave & Jenn
