The weeks at work seem to keep getting crazier and crazier, so this week has been pretty much that. I also feel like I'm getting sick, so I haven't felt much like doing anything at night. That being said, I did have my first company over to my apartment since I've been in Debrecen last night. My team from work came over to eat Indian food, drink wine and chat about, well, work mostly. But it was still fun. Everyone was asking me if I had any sour cream to put on top of their Indian food (which I didn't,) but I told them I thought it would ruin their dinners. Apparently they like to eat everything with sour cream. They told me I must not be Hungarian if I don't have sour cream in the fridge.

I have not had my second Hungarian class yet mostly because of scheduling issues, so I'm afraid I haven't learned much in the last couple of weeks. I talked to a friend from work yesterday who is living and working in our Copenhagen office for a 2 year assignment, and he says he takes 5 hours of Danish classes a week. And he studies on top of that. I can't claim to have shown that much ambition so far. But he's been there for 9 months and says that he can speak well enough so far to have very simple "hi, how are you?" conversations. I don't think Hungarian is any easier than Danish, so that worries me a little about my ability to get better at communicating with non-English speakers here before I leave. I guess we'll see what happens.

I'm looking forward to a quiet, easy weekend in town this weekend. It'll be the first weekend I stay in Debrecen in about 6 weeks. It will be nice to sleep in, maybe do some shopping, go out with some people for a beer. I scheduled a massage for myself on Sunday, which I can't wait to have. It's about $30 for an hour and it's at my hotel so I don't even have to go anywhere afterward. Except maybe to bed =)

It's my last week here before I go home to Austin for a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see everyone and eat some serious Mexican food. I'm excited.

I've lost track of how many different cities you have visited, but I can say you're taking good advantage of your opportunities! Yeah, Jen!
