Arrived at the hotel around 9am yesterday (2am GMT), and outside it was already 32 degrees and humid, I can safely say my backpack was so much lighter in an overcast Bristol!
Kicked the trip off with a quick walk around Little India before heading to the river to explore Clarke Quay and the colonial district. Jon treated me to a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar at Raffles which was amazing and walked it off along the harbour at nightfall . Singapore is beautiful during the day but comes alive at night - amazing views with the whole city lit up, I'm a huge fan and we've only been here a day! Quick trip to the food court at Bugis Junction for dinner on the way back , I had my first but definitely not last claypot curry (for £1.50!). Love it here, life here seems to involve walking from one shopping mall to the next with an essential pit stop at a food court to keep hydrated and well fed - maybe it's just as well we're only staying for a couple of days :O)

food sounds good!
don't think that walking between shopping malls and stopping off for food is the life for your average singaporean though :)
