I made it!

I've got my GPS, hiking shoes and camera ... I'm ready to go. Unfortunately, I forgot the cable to upload pictures to my laptop so I won't be able to include any pictures until Monday when I meet up with my relatives in Montana.
Yesterday afternoon, I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't make it this far but I've arrived. I got to the Cedar Rapids airport to find out that my flight had just been delayed and I'd miss my connection in Denver. They were able to get me on a flight to Chicago and then on to Seattle from there. The Chicago flight had been delayed for 2 hours so most of the other people on the flight weren't too happy! It was a very bumpy right but thankfully, it's only 30 minutes. It's rather entertaining to be in the air for about 5 minutes when you hear the announcement that you're beginning your initial descent into Chicago.
I didn't arrive until 11:30 last night so I spent the night near the airport. Today, I'm going to get my rental car and begin my journey to Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helen's and Portland. If you have any restaurant recommendations, please send them my way. Have a great day!

Hey Jen ~ glad you made it okay. Carley already asked me this morning when she gets to see you. Don't think she understands the time concept of two weeks. Maybe I should put it in school days for her, but that may not be good either :)
