This was, one of those moments with the wind in your face and surrounded by gorgeous jungle, that I felt really alive and like a real traveller. Sat with the locals on the junglel train was an unforgettable experience for both of us! Note to any other travellers - if you get the lunchtime train back from Tenom to Beaufort, we found it easy enough to hitch a (free) ride back on one of the Rafting tour buses heading back to KK(Mum)
We had a really bumpy ride on the way to Tenom and little bits went in our eyes so we wore our sunglasses but it was really good fun or even exhilerating and we smiled all the way down. We met a rafting person and he told us all about Tenom and the crocodiles in the reservoir.
when we got to Tenom we went for dinner then we went to the hostel next to the agriculteral park. We were left all on our own in the building. The day after that we rode on the bikes around the park. When we finished we went back to the hostel, got our bags then went to the train station again to go back to Beofort and on the way back it wasn't very good because we couldn't go on the open part.
We left KK to take the jungle train down to Tenom. After a bus trip and a long wait at the train station, the train finally arrived to take us to Beaufort. Instead of going inside the carriage, we thought it would be fun to ride on the open part of the train. we got on and our carriage moved. However, we thought we were going to stay in Beofort because only our carriage moved whilst the rest of the train got left behind at the station as we moved in the wrong dierection! We had to move backwards then forwards again and again and again to swap carriages.
