We had a good flight here. It was surprisingly short - less than 4 hours - so not much time to sleep! (Halifax to Winnipeg is 5 hours).
Then we were here so early we had almost 3 hours to wait for our bus to the Blue Lagoon. So we walked around the parking lot and took pictures. The coffee shop sold delicious cappuccino croissants.
And Blue Lagoon was worth it! (At least I think so - Andrew?) When we got there, the water was amazingly blue. It was hot - great since it's cold-ish here - and there was a waterfall you could stand under that felt like it gave you a crazy massage.
Now we have checked into our hotel (The Salvation Army Guesthouse - unfortunately for me, no thrift clothes stores in sight) are at the Rejkavik Library and going to walk around a bit to see some of the town.
On the way here we stopped at an exhibit of the oldest building found to date in Iceland - a wall built in 871 and a longhouse about 100 years later. Very cool.
