Hurrah for national parks you can camp and see everything in one day in. Litchfield is a delight for many people and despite its modest size proved to be a peaceful spot to visit. Peaceful that is, if you time your walks to the series of waterfalls so as to avoid to oversized and overly loud bus loads of tourists that seemed to be at every charming and serene location we went to. However, perfect weather, a lack of man eating creatures, temperatures in the mid 30's and the ease of slipping off a few rocks into a refreshing water hole was just too good an opportunity to miss. A few short bush walks later, a dip into the pools and we were back in time for beer o clock. Excellent.
