Auckland was ok, there wasnt too much there, but we went to Waiheki island and jumped on to the first bus we saw and managed to get lost again!! But this time it was a deserted island! We went up to the sky tower which was good and we saw the whole of Auckland.

We joined the Kiwi bus and went to the bay of islands. We had a trip to cape Reinga which was really good. We saw the 90 mile beach which just went on for ever! (well around 64 miles apparently!). We did sand surfing there which was excellent - although sand gets everywhere - it's still in my hair 3 weeks later! Was so much fun though. It took forever to walk up the dunes though - I am definitely not fit enough! We went back to Paihia and then back to Auckland for a night.

We went to the top of Mt Eden where you get wicked views of Auckland before we went to Mercury bay. On the kiwi bus you do loads of stop off's for walks and things and on the way we stopped off at Cathedral cove. Although the actual cove was falling down and the fireman were there roping off the area!

From Mercury Bay we went to Rotorua. Its quite smelly with the thermal activity and we saw the geizers which were really cool. Because it was raining they were really bubbling and steaming! We stopped of on another walk on the way to Rotorua along this pitch black railway tunnel, which was pretty scary when your afraid of the dark! They also had rope/ swing bridges that everyone enjoyed jumping on! That night we went to a Maouri evening which was wicked! They did all the tribal dances and the Hauka (not sure how u spell that?!) which was really cool. We then went out for a few drinks after!

We traveled to Waitomo and had a relaxing day of sleeping. That night we went went to the bar in the hostel and had a brilliant night. After 1 (when the manager went home!) the bar lady let us pour our own drinks and have free run of the bar (all drinks were free too!) a pretty heavy night! Lots of dancing on tables and drinking games!

After not going to bed until half 3,we had to get up at 7 to do black water rafting! It was amazing! It was freezing cold and we were in wet suits with our hard hats! We had to absail down into the cave which was v cool, then we did a zip wine in the dark further into the caves. It was amazing as you could see all of the glow worms! There are so many of them!

Then we had to jump off a 4 meter ish rock with a ring into the freezing cold water, I completely bottled this and it took me about 8 tries to actually jump (I thought the guy would push me!) Then I did a half jump, lost my ring and nearly drowned - classy! We had to climb through all of these small caves and I was told I looked like a dying seal trying to do it! We then went on a river ride and saw all of the glow worms, before climbing up 2 waterfalls with no ropes!!! I aches so much today. After we did the rafting we got a round of applause from our bus when we met them for getting up so early and actually doing it!

That afternoon I also did a sky dive!!!!!!! It was so amazing! I cant describe how it feels free falling! It wasnt too scary going up in the plane either as my guy was so nice and kept me talking and checking I was attached to him! When we edged to the door I was terrified, but you dont have time to think and he pushed us out of the plane! After the initial feeling of terror it was so much fun! You dont feel like you are falling as the ground doesnt seem to get any closer as we were so high up (15000 feet!). It was just amazing!

When he put the parachute up u felt yourself slow right down. Then the guy loosed me up (luckily I dodnt let go!) It was so cool just drifting down, you feel weightless! The landing was really easy too as the guy does it all for you!! Absolutely wicked!!!!!!
