The last country in Central America

After a wild time in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, I have ventured further south to the popular and beautiful Bocas del Toro in Panama. The border crossing into Panama was sort of a pain as "escorts", whether you need or want them or not, make themsleves available to help you across the border. In the end, they do actually help a little since they have the power to get your passport to the top of the officials´ pile for processing. In exchange, you agree to use a taxi to the pier or wherever you´re going and they get a commission from the driver. I teamed up with an Israeli girl, and 3 other guys from the US, England & Oz to get a taxi to the pier for the boat ride to Bocas del Toro, an amazing island just off the coast. I am staying at Mondo Taitu, a really cool place owned by 3 young American dudes from San Fran. Unfortunately, some rain has settled over us limiting what we can do outside. Not sure how long I´ll stay.
