Fortunately for the viewer, you can not see what we endured to acquire these photos. It must have rained 2 inches on our way out of Athens to this site. The planned itinerary included a series of bus rides followed by a taxi from the Corinth bus station to the canal. Along the way, though, we noticed that the bus made many stops that hadn't been publicized (to non-local, non-Greek speaking tourists). Suddenly, as we crossed a bridge Jeff blurts out "That's it." We had just crossed the canal. Fortunately for us, the lady sitting in the seat in front us understood exactly why we were on the bus. She leaned back and told us to ask the driver to pull over. Sure enough, the driver let us off on the side of the road and also told us where to get the bus home.
The bridge Jeff is standing on to take the photo has at least 6 inches of water covering it. Everyone, including Jeff, gets drenched every time a truck or a car passes over this heavily used bridge.
