Ok, so it's been quite a while since we have last updated the blog. Here is what we have been up to (You'll see why we haven't updated in a while below). We had a peaceful last day in Dalat and then took a public bus to Nha Trang. I'm going to admit that the bus was not a pleasant experience. The road was so windy and the bus driver took the turns really fast. This resulted in a good number of locals throwing up on the bus. Lovely. This must be a common occurrence as each seat had a throw up bag in the seat pocket. I guess in a nation where most people get around on motorcycles, the motion of a confined vehicle must be a challenge. Luckily for us, I medicated Jeff up before we got on the bus and he was totally fine.

We arrived in Nha Trang which is a town located on the China Sea and it was pouring rain. It has continued to rain a bit everyday. Not great for a beach side town. Not that this really mattered to me though - I got food poisoning after our first dinner in the city. Stupid caesar salad (and stupid me - I should have known better). I have learned my lesson - even if the restaurant looks westernized, it's still probably not a good idea to eat the raw vegetables or salad dressings that could go bad. As a result of my food poisoning, I was in bed for 2 days, but luckily this evening I am feeling a lot better.

Based on my most recent illness and the fact that I seem to have been sick a lot in Asia so far (fever in Bangkok, upset stomach in Korat, major sand flea bites in Koh Lanta, jellyfish larvae bites in Kata Beach, a bad cold for the last 2 weeks which has now included both a wet and dry cough, a stuffed nose, swollen glands and really sore throat throughout and finally food poisoning), we have decided to come home 10 days early (so on Monday, March 21). We figure that it will be good to rest and recover before we head off to South America on April 8. I should say that I am feeling much better though from all of the above.
