So we are waiting to go to the train station to catch the overnight train to Paris. We had a nice day in Barcelona today...it consisted mainly of sightseeing Gaudi architecture and shopping. We started out at
Front of Sagrada Familia
the Sagrada Familia, which is a church Gaudi designed. It is still being constructed and will be under construction for many years to come as it is funded by donations and proceeds form tourists´ tickets to tour the church.
Inside Sagrada Familia
From the church we went to Park Guell to see more of Gaudi´s design.
Jeff at Park Guell
His work is really neat and both of us enjoyed it.

Gaudi Stuff
We walked down La Rambla (lots of street performers, restaurants, souvenir shops..) and did some shopping.
More Gaudi Stuff
We just got back from a restaurant with some tasty tapas for dinner. Tapas are little appetizers and Jeff tried all kinds of new food...salmon eggs for example!
Tapas (Dessert)
Now we are in the hostel killing time before our train departs...we´ll see how the overnighter goes!

Getting cultured?
What, no breweries. Is Jeff getting thirsty or are the tapas satisfying him for now? I love hearing from you and 'living' it along with you. Thanks Ashley for writing, Mom (Patti)
French Open when you get to Paris?
Hope you have time to see the Grand Slam Tennis Tournament...just wondering.
Re: Getting cultured?
